Sorrow’s Tears

Sorrow’s tears cascade down

a sorrowful rain

Each tear drop a stain

cut deeply by a river of pain

Sorrow’s tears full of circumstances unknown

Shed for the broken,

The hurting and alone.

Sorrow’s tears flow freely

but don’t come without cost

A price that was paid

by innocence lost

A young life seeming to spin out of control

Aching my heart and taking its toil

If only for today

Sorrow’s tears will be wiped away

Tears dried by my father in heaven above

Father God, I want to get lost in your love.

Today was not a very good day.  A child who is very dear to me is in the middle of a bunch of grown ups in her life who are behaving like children. Her heart is broken, her mother’s heart is broken and its not a very good situation.I went to bed just heartbroken for her and all who are involved.  As I lay in bed watching the time slip by and sleep not even on the radar tonight, I decided to read my email. While in my email I found that I had notification of a blog I follow by my blogging friend James over at Men of One Accord.  He had been challenged on a blog that he reads to write a poem about love which he did it is very lovely but James’ poetry is always lovely.  In James’ post he also challenged his readers to write a poem of their own.  The poem you just read was my poem.  He had 2 writing prompts that God placed on his heart the line I chose from them was “God, I want to get lost in your love.”

When I saw the writing prompt I realized that getting lost in God’s love was exactly what I needed to do tonight, I needed to be lost in God’s love to realize that God does have the situation in his hands and I needed to give it up to him. I also know that the child has Jesus in her life and he loves her and she has him with her as she goes through this mess. Though God has reassured me he has this little girl’s situation in his hands I still feel heartsick about the whole situation, because it just really hurts to see people that I love hurt.  Before I go tonight I would like to ask you all my readers if you will say a prayer for a little girl and her momma.  Also before I go tonight I would like to challenge you to write your own poem and link it back here in the comments.  I don’t have a line but was thinking anything to do with God’s love, trusting in the fact that you belong to him or that he has your life in his hands will do. Thank you dear readers for coming back here each day and reading,

God bless you and Good night,

Terri

When I read your poem my heart danced with joy at your work and a smile was upon my face. Then the dance came to an end as I read on and my tears still flowed for in my heart it now turned to prayer. Growing up my Dad would often tell me, “Son, you need to learn to walk away from a fight every now and then.” which I never did. To him I would ask, “Why should I never start a fight and most these fight are not mine?” In the Marine Corps those people liked that about me and it servered them well.
Today I now sever in the Marine Corps of Heaven and our Lord still likes that about me. Only now my heart is filled with love and compassion for others and in prayer is how I now fight. For when I see a spiritual fight I cannot walk away so upon my knees before the Lord I go. I’ll be back! God Bless you T!

It seems we are both hurting T, although I do feel more at peace today, I still feel the weight of what I have been through in the last few days, it’s in reference to some of the Children in my Funday School and their Mother who is an Alcoholic and on probation for drugs.

To condense she physically and verbally abused me again in front of the Children, this time she had forgotten that they were coming for a catch up lesson and didn’t appreciate not being asked, she told them I had lied and she didn’t know about it. She forcibly removed them from my home, abusing me as she did, I was left bleeding and traumatized and now they are not allowed to even talk to me, although they did come to see me yesterday but she didn’t know they were, I was wondering why she let them, when she found out where they were visiting me, she sent someone to make them go home.. T I do care for this woman not just the Children but yes I Love them very much, she has been very abused herself and Hurt people hurt People and themselves, I forgive her but I can’t see how to resolve the situation, please pray.

I’m sorry but writing a Poem T when I’m upset is imposable the same as creating Power points, also I can’t do it on demand, my Poems flow when I’m lead to write them but I do have one of my Poems Posted on my Blog that fits the bill. I hope that is OK

Anne, I am so sorry to hear of this, I know you love those children so much and I feel sad that this happened. Like you said that mother is hurting and hurt people sometimes do hurt others. I have prayed and will continue to pray for all involved and for the whole situation/ I pray that there will be some sort of resolution and that you will be able to continue with your funday school and that the children and you will be blessed by it. Thank you for praying for my stuff too, your prayers are much appreciated. Also thank you so much for sharing your poem it is very beautiful poem. Take care and God bless you!.

Thank you dear T for your prayer support, perhaps I should not have shared my hurt here when you also were in need of comfort but I could not reach you by phone, it was too late and I needed your prayers.

Thankfully Funday School continues, I have 9 Children now and I’m praying for more but every Child is important and unique, I miss the others greatly and yes I Love them all.

As I was sharing last night T with another Blogging friend about her times of suffering and grief, I went looking for a Song that I hoped would comfort her but found another Song that touched her heart and mine greatly, this morning God confirmed it was also meant for me and I believe for you too dear T because we both have the same Best Friend who seeks only for our good always.

I don’t know who the mother and child are… whether overseas or not, but from the poem and your words it is very evident you care very much…. My heart has always been broken when I see the hunger of children and of course all… in areas of the world that have so little. The injustice that is so evident with troubled countries truly saddens me. The organization that I worked before retiring in 1991 (on disability) is a non-profit Christian humanitarian organization, and I knew I was meant to work there… The man that started it, said ‘Let my heart be broken with the things that break the heart of God” … I have said a prayer for the mother and child.. Yes I do care very much about them and thank you so much for your prayer. Thank you also for sharing a a bit about your own heart for those who are hurting. That man who started the organization you speak of sounds like a very wise man.
